Applicants can apply in person in the leasing office, or online through our website.

Approval time can vary. Once the application, fees and supporting documents are complete, approval can be from 6 to 36 hours or more, depending on the applicants state of origin.

Residents can pay by check or money order, by mail, at the drop box at the front desk, or in person in the office. Online options on the Calvert House secure portal include payments by ACH and credit cards for a small fee.

Yes, Calvert House requires residents to have renters insurance. Insurance can be purchased via ResidentShield or any insurance company of the residents choosing.

Your rent at Calvert House includes gas, electric, water, sewage and trash.

Calvert House is wired for Verizon FiOS!

Calvert House has 24 hour front desk concierge service, a business center, a fitness center, a laundry center, a Zip car onsite, a sunroom, a roof top sundeck, and an outdoor terrace with grills.

Yes! Calvert House has an outdoor lot and two garages. Motorcycle spaces may also be available.

There are some visitor spaces located behind the building on a first come first-served basis. Reserved and longer-term guest spots are available for purchase in the management office.

Calvert House is a cat friendly community. A one-time fee of $500/$800 covers one or two cats respectively and monthly pet rent is only $50 per pet.

Calvert House does not offer short-term or furnished apartments. We would be happy to recommend furniture rental companies for your 12-month lease.

The red line Woodley Park metro station is directly across street from Calvert House. Both WMTA bus stops and Circulator bus stops are just outside the building. A Zip car is onsite, and others close by, and Capital Bikeshare is one block away.

Calvert House has an extensive list of work items to be completed before a new resident occupies their apartment. These include, but are not limited to, an inspection of all appliances, plumbing and mechanical items; complete painting; floor refinishing and thorough cleaning.

Calvert House has a professional maintenance team dedicated to keeping the building and the apartments in excellent condition. They are available for regular work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. Emergency maintenance items will be responded to 24 hours a day.

Residents can stop by the 24-hour front desk to place a work order or phone the front desk to place a work request.

No. Placing a work order gives permission for maintenance to enter and complete the work. A work ticket will be left in your apartment explaining what work was done.  

Residents can borrow managements copy of the keys to let themselves into their apartment. Keys can be signed out from the front desk.  

If a tenant finds it necessary to terminate the lease prior to its expiration, the following policy applies:  We require a 30-day notice and a payment of two months' rent as liquidated damages.

Calvert house has multiple bike racks available in our garages at no charge. A reserved space bike room with vertical hanging racks, lockers and a work station is also available for a small fee.  

Our front desk concierge company has a wealth of vendors and service providers to assist you!  

Calvert House is in the Oyster-Adams Bilingual Elementary School, Alice Deal Jr. High and Wilson High School district.  

We're located in the heart of DC in the wonderful and very convenient neighborhood of Woodley Park. Our building is steps away from the red line metro, very close to shopping, entertainment, dining, Rock Creek Park and the National Zoo. 2401 Calvert St. NW, Washington, DC 20008
